Goals

Equip leaders and teams for short-term mission efforts through leadership training, team preparation, and group debriefing

Prepare the soil for kingdom expansion through the hearts of youth, families, friends, and nations

Introduce Jesus and demonstrate the Kingdom of God by physically and spiritually engaging people

Nurture spiritual maturation through mentoring relationships

Partner with local individuals and organizations to provide strong mentors for children

Objectives

 

To love and accept children unconditionally

o       Live a credible example of Christ by the power of His indwelling Spirit

o       Accept children where they are spiritually, physically, and emotionally

o       Call youth to a deeper relationship with their Creator

 

To recruit and develop Leaders and Teams for short-term mission trips

o       Provide training opportunities for team leaders

o       Provide resources for team preparation and development

o       Assess group dynamics and emotional well-being, as well as trip effectiveness, through individual and group debriefing processes

 

To teach the good news of Jesus Christ in youth camps

o       Intersect with children in the realms of education, arts, athletics and relationships

o       Develop appropriate curriculum and activities for youth; challenging, increasing, and complementing their understanding and experience of God

o       Increase the level of spiritual depth from year to year, enabling greater retention of students

 

To extend a hand to orphans

o       Provide love and hope by offering a new beginning through Jesus

o       Provide Christian mentoring

o       Partner with directors to meet needs

 

To create mentoring relationships

o       Develop, equip, and encourage in-country mentor network

o       Create a safe environment of spiritual discovery and experience for mentors and youth

o       Offer assistance to youth in their life journey

 

To develop partners in educational, commercial, governmental, and religious spheres

o       Seek out key individuals and organizations with a vested interest in youth development

o       Gain access to existing groups of youth

o       Develop partnerships in areas of financial, logistical, and relational resources
