Mentor Networks

Some have asked us, “what’s the long term effect of a 2 week mission trip?”  Many short-term mission organizations deal with this question.  What makes our work so unique is that we have a whole team of in-country mentors that not only join with us during camps but continue the ministry long after we are gone.

Polina, Natalia, and Nastia work with children throughout the year,
allowing the kids from camp to continue their journey of spiritual
discovery and experience throughout the year.

Missionaries and nationals alike work to deepen the discovery and experience of the youth who attend our camps.  What begins in a camp in the woods continues over tea in a cafe, or a small group in a home, or a tutor session before an exam.  Mentors carry on year round what is initiated during a camp.

Natalia, a mentor who has worked in every summer or winter outreach we have ever had in Novosibirsk, was recently hired by some of the parents of children who attended our camps.  What did her new employer ask of her?  "Train my children the rest of the year the way you did during camp.  The results are amazing."  Natalia is now telling stories of these kids praying with her, praying for their parents, studying God's Word together and making decisions in their home and in their lives based on the truths they are learning from her.

Seeing what is planted in camp take root and grow the rest of the year through the work of a mentor is just a glimpse of the fruit of this ministry.
